Pennsylvania Ave, NW DC. About two blocks from the white house. Annual ritual for DC natives. Its the fucking tree huggers protesting the IMF (International Monetary Fund) and World Bank meetings. I used to work for USA Today and we would have to collect up about 500 of our newspaper racks every year so these ass hats wouldn't put bombs or some shit in them. Major pain in the ass. The city gives them space to protest, but inevitably, they look for a confrontation by crossing barricades. The funniest thing I saw was one year they tried to form a human chain to block a motorcade and the motorcycle cops ran right through them. You wouldn't think a motercycle from a dead stop in 5 feet could send someone airborne, but you'd be wrong.
