I think the toilet job vs game designer job is an ill comparison.

If you're in the game industry it's generally because you had an interest in computers and/or games/consoles.

No one decides at the end of high school, "Gee, I had an interest in taking huge shits in toilets...! I wanna work with toilets. That really does seem like the best industry for me."

When they start out, people generally choose the gaming industry based on an interest in gaming etc...

Yeah that's what I was trying to say with the whole passion thing. Jobs that need special training ( or any special commitment ) usually means the participant enjoys or has a drive for what they're doing.

Professional Athlete, Movie Industry, Doctor, Teacher whatever.
