SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!
This is by far the most dark and greatest film in the series. The story line was so great and Hayden actually did a good job pulling off the part of Vader.
The Emperor was the most cynical charecter in the series, even more dark then Vader. It was just so wicked how he manipulated everyone and gained ultimate power. The chancellor room fight was so cool and it was neat how fast he killed off all those Jedi Masters, except for Windu. Windu put up a really good fight and I sorta liked the way he died. Seemed like everyone in that movie lost a limb, lol.
The space battles were really good but part of me wish it had been longer and more. The Count Dooku duel was very symbolic of Return of The Jedi and it showed how much more powerfull Anakin had become and how dark in a way he became.
The big Wookiee battle was actually a bit of a letdown. I was expecting more wookiee on droid action , but I still got some fun from the Tarfull and Chewie tree swing onto that droid ship. A part I didn't understand was when those Clone Troopers on the walkers came up and said 'These wookiee's are dead'. Was part of Order 66 to kill or enslave the remaining wookiee's?
Order 66 was just a really dark and depressing thing to do, in a good way though. The way most of the jedi were just shot down and killed was so dismile yet so unexpected. A few of the jedi put up a fight , but without hesitation all the troopers just opening fire on Jedi Masters and Padawans was so cool. The way Anakin killed the Younglings was very unexpected thing from Lucas. Killing them without hesitation like that was super dark.
And finale, the big fight. The mega ultra battle between Obi-Wan and Anakin, now Darth Vader, was VERY, VERY well put together. In some ways I half expected Vader to win. Most of the fight had him on the offensive except for the end and a few parts in between. The way Obi-Wan cut off Anakins legs and other arm was really morbid but also cool to see. He just left him there to burn on the shores...really cool stuff. Hayden did actually not sound too whiny when he was yelling at Obi-Wan and even the groaning he did wasn't too bad. The assembly of Vader was really neat and I like how for that 10 seconds we got inside 'Vader Vision'. Once again Hayden did a surprisingly good job of being Vader and I like how for the few seconds he got up he kind stumbled in disbelief of what he became.
Padme giving birth to the twins was what it was. Although the theater was quiet I couldn't quite make out what she said before she died. It sounded like 'There is Hope' which could be a refrence to 'A New Hope', but I could be mistaken. Her funeral was actually really sad. I felt kinda bad...
A few griefs I have with the film was I expected more epic space and wookiee battles. I also thought Griveous was going to put up more of a saber battle, especially considering that he took on and destroyed like 6 Jedi Masters at a time, in the Clone Wars cartoon. A thought I pondered for Grivous was I though he actually might be a reincarnated Sith Lord or Master. If you look at his eyes he has that trademark yellow and sorta slanted pupil that all Sith have. I even toyed with the idea that he could be the top half of Darth Maul somehow...oh well. He died kinda cool and the way I imagined it, except for the blaster.
My friend kinda hinted at that since Palpatine learned from Dark Plagus how to master controlling the force so well and manipulate the miticlorines so well, the the Emperor could of actually concived Vader. It could be possible that somehow he used the force to impregnate Shmi Skywalker...a long shot, but a thinker.
In a way I'm sad about this movie. It's the end of a saga and yet the beggining. It was everything I expected and much more. Greater then any other Star Wars, of for that matter, any film I've seen. So superb.
