Alcoholics Anonymous or "AA" as it is refered to, is a self-help group that is nation wide in America. The groups are formed by local civil activists to help alcoholics get "dry" or help them to stop drinking.

At the begining of each meeting, each person stands and says the following:

"My name is _________, and I am an Alcoholic"

This is the tradition to get everyone on a first name basis and to give everyone the opertunity to counquer the first step to revovery by admitting they have a problem. The tradition has spread to most "self-help" groups.

I couldn't help but make the connection to "AA" and AA.com. Alot of people never got it when I started saying it, or it may take them a few weeks..months and I get a PM with one of these guys: happy:
