10 years for me.

I started out with monthly that you had to take out every night. If you sleep in them, they stick to your eyes and it hurts like a mother fucker. 2nd most painful experience with my eyes. The first was welders flash. Now I know why welders wear a mask. UV fucks your eyes up.

Anyway, i moved to night and day lenses about a year ago. I can leave these lenses in for a month without taking them out at all. their great. i have had a couple times where i had an infection. the doc says that its not enough oxygen to the eye. so even if you get ones that you can sleep in, you may want to take them out every once in a while to rest your eyes.

you'll feel them a lot at first. they'll feel pretty shitty, but after a while, you'll get used to them. then you can't feel them at all.
