check running processes. if its cluttered with alot of pointless shit, go into msconfig and uncheck anything that isnt useful and hogs system memory; i try to keep a max of 28 running procsses. like everyone said - remove any unwanted apps, avoid installing explodeware (software that tends to install 23432423 other things along with it). stop running system recovery on slave hard drives. im sure theres useful shit on
