I think that disassembling all the nukes would be a great idea except now that the technology is there, there will always be a North Korea or Iran or some country that will create a nuclear program secretly and then that person can hold the rest of the world hostage. So I don't think the idea could ever really work unless we could garauntee that nobody anywhere could build any nukes because if they secretly made one, everybody would be screwed.
