Pci express is good for sli and crossfire, thats about it so far. Obviously sooner or later graphics cards are gonna need the bandwidth of pci-e to work properly, but that times probably a couple of years off at least.
Just seems really retarded, last year the big launch lineup for ati and nvidia was all agp boards, now this year so far nvidia hasn't even the option of agp like its totally defunct.
Ati last year released the x850 in pci-e form initially then agp a couple of months later. Probably be the same situation with the r520, if it does come out in agp form and nvidia don't have a 7800gt or gtx agp version theres gonna be a lot of r520 agp boards sold.
Ive seen more than enough posts on multiple forums of people slightly pissed that to upgrade their graphics they would have to buy a new cpu and motherboard as well as a new graphics card, unless the next gen cards have an agp varient that is.
Whatever company is first to release an agp version imo will get a ton of sales. The amount of people with agp compared to pci-e is laughable, probably 1000 agp users for every 1 pci-e user. Actually id say its a shitload more but you get the point.
