My friend has recently joined a forming band, I have offered to create a website for him but am stuck for ideas on how band websites look. I've been toying with designes on paper but none of my designs actually look like what you'd expect for a band website.

I dont know whether to go for simplicity or a more complex looking site.

I was toying with the idea of having the sites template in the shape of a guitar and work the website around that.

this is something i just drew up.

its poor quality but you get the idea of how it will be laid out. I'm abit concerned about the space on the left so thought about having a design on the guitar (to personalise it abit and to fill the space) but am stuck for ideas on what to draw as the guitars design. any pointers? i was maybe thinking lightning or something.
