I know suburbs aren't gonna be nearly as dangerous as cities and what not, but what I'm saying is, if you live in a nice neighborhood that is close to a city or a bad neighborhood, crime can still affect you either when you commute their for work, entertainment, etc, or if the crime comes to you like arkan said, because "good communities" are good targets. I think you're in more danger in some areas, but I think there is always danger of crimes being committed anywhere, you're never gonna be able to say you are absolutely safe to the point where you know you'll never need protection.
