The thing is, with Caesar, people were around writing about him when he existed. Nobody ever wrote anything about Jesus when he was alive.

i dont know the history behind it, but ill take your word that you do.
im still left wondering how one would benifit by contriving such a tale. Especially in a time where following anyone other than your countries leaders would result in your own death. Obviously, it wasnt safe to profess your faith at the time of christs death, and im pretty sure that christians were persecuted for years to come after his death. So, why would you commit to paper something that you knew would result in your own death until you felt safe to do so? Again, im not a bible scholar, but im pretty sure there are other authors besides peter who had some knowledge, and written about, such a person.
Also, this information has been around for what, more than a thousand years? Doesnt it seem logical that by now someone would have definitively proven that there wasnt such a man?
