and the 40 million Americans without insurance argument is always iffy with me as well. Contrary to press reports of gloom and doom. Hospitals do not turn people away. In fact they do tons of free work for people that can't afford it.
I won't deny that folks put off having work done because they can't afford it ... heck, I have insurance and I don't go to the doctor because I don't want to pay deductibles and co-pays ... but if a person truly needs something and can't afford it there are ways for them to have the work done (i.e. various charity groups, etc)
