[quote="Simo Häyhä":48af6]dude i thought that was a girls name[/quote:48af6]I was waiting how long it would take before this was brought up. In todays culture/society it is considered a girls name. However in Britain in the early 1900's and 1800's it was predominatly used by males. In jamaica a huge influx of men are name courtney as well, now, because the British held it as a pawn for their empire. My father named me courtney just because he liked it, he is also British. Like I said somewhere it got changed to naming females courtney. I also find it interesting that its such a problem that my name is a girls name. Does it make me a girl...I mean judging a person by their name is basically like me saying I won't buy a book because the cover is blank..However I tend to notice Americans more than Canadians, from my own experience, bring up the girl name issue more.
