[quote="Short Hand":0a1fa]Holy fuck, I bet EVERY FUCKING COUNTRY IN THE WORLD has a cache of the same size, if not larger of this same type of weapon, and it is probably working. Really if some depleted now next to useless chemical weapon is worth the lives of a near 100 000 civ's and 2500 dead American soldiers.... I think not.[/quote:0a1fa]lol you're funny
They had the hearings yesterday about these wmd's and I'm learning more as I hear more about them.
Gaffry (?), the man giving military information about the topic, had some interesting things to say. Sarin is VERY potent--more than a hundred times more potent than anthrax. 1kg of this material can kill tens of thousands of people...you only need 5mm of the stuff to kill a person instantly. Saddam had a lot of this material on hand. If you say they're depleted or not, thousands of people can still die from it.
Another interesting thing I heard on the talk radio today was that Saddam and his "henchmen" had working plans to put sarin and other chemicals into perfume and spray bottles. They were going to ship it over to the USA and parts of Europe.
Gaffry does say that these were weapons that the administration were looking for as they entered the country. Only a quater of 1% of all the weapons of Iraq have been checked to see if they can be classified as WMD's. Why do people constantly say "There are none! Let's get the hell out of there! There's nothing there to be found."? Weapons of mass destruction don't have to be nuclear warheads Shorthand. It doesn't just mean blowing up large buildings. It also has the meaning of mass killing (i.e. sarin gas)
