He did an interview on Howard Stern a couple of months ago. (which is why I was wondering about the house. On the show he said he only had 40 days, but that was at least 60 days ago, maybe more.) In the interview he said that his dad is the one that pissed away most of his Saved By The Bell money.
BTW - Here is a fun fact to know and tell that may be of interest to a few of you who seem to be a little light in the loafers ... Screech is hung like a mule. Howard got Screech taling about it, "It's a curse." and he got Screech's girlfriend talking about it "It's definitely not a curse." and the guest that came in after Screech said he saw Screech standing at the urinal one time and Screech had to hold his unit up to keep in from touching the cake thing in the bottom of the urinal.
