They do nothing at all to explain Jay-Z's place as being recognized as one of the greatest emcees ever. Its all hype, because I read that shit and there is NOTHING amazing. NOTHING interesting. NOTHING original. Its the same old shit.
He's been saying it since Reasonable Doubt came out, about TEN YEARS AGO.
You might have not been listening to rap back then, but I was, and it was kind of a cool album when I heard it - I really liked it, and was excited. Needless to say he disapointed with the following albums. They might not be the worst by any stretch, sure I've heard far worse, but he definitely is NOT THE BEST, or anywhere near the best. Totally average.
That was my argument, and I made my point, all you did with your last post was reinforce my point by posting those average lyrics as if they were something special.
Just like everyone else out there who thinks Jay-Z is something special when its clear to someone who actually listens to GOOD emceeing with GOOD production that he is AVERAGEEEEEE.
