I'm a pessimist when I'm driving; I always expect somebody to fuck up and run into me. I'm always playing out these scenarios in my head, trying to anticipate when the next dumb fuck will try to cut me off, or slam on their brakes for no reason, etc...

I've never been in a wreck before. I'd like to attribute that to my pessimism. So being pessimistic can be a good thing.
