Thats' the rule. Refs call the game based upon the rulebook. The rules are there to protect the players. Simon's face went into the glass. It's a boarding penalty.
And I played hockey too. I broke both bones in my arm on a clean check along the boards while I was trying to get the puck out of our zone.

he turned into the glass, not anyones fault but his own. refs call it by their own discretion.. and in the NHL the refs know their shit hence the boarding call was not made. lets not turn hockey into fucking soccer where we can pretend to be hurt
