Very true, aircooling these days normally means some kind of extreme retardedly sized slab of aluminium or copper inside the case. The stock coolers intel and amd provide aren't worth a fuck so a third party cooler is needed which just adds to the cost. |
i'm using the stock cooler and it works fine.. my temps stay at around 25C at idle and 35-40C while gaming.. antec P180 airflow ftw |
Yeah but a quad overclocked the heat belts out of it. Even at stock i think the intel cooler (and the retention system) is utter shite.
My case hasn't much in the way of airflow though, thinking of swapping it out for a coolermaster stacker eventually.[/quote:f18cd]the retention system is indeed a bitch, i was having problems with games slowing to a crawl and it turns out the heatsink wasnt even latched on all the way, took me like a half hour to finally get it latched on completely, almost had the break the damn mobo to get it in there
