Cheers r3mix, helpful advice (never really studied the administrative controls before) but I cannot see anything that looks or is worded to sound like a debugger.
This is starting to get me down. I hoped when I posted my first message that someone else on here would have suffered the same symptoms. The longer time goes by without discovering the problem, the nearer I get to the dreaded full system re-install. cry:
