This equation is basic algebra bud. Its not complicated and it is pretty much unusable. However, like I said... the relationship of root and square is interesting. Why did I come up with this? I was sitting in calc physics class and we had to do some lame problem involving a decimal number squared. I didn't have my calculator . I thought to myself. Holy shit, what would I do if I got stuck on a desert island with no calculator? So, instead of listening to some crap about Newton’s Third law, I started playing around with common squared numbers and noticed the link. It took me a while to put it into equation form. At that time I didn't realize how arbitrary it was. Then I started applying it and realized that it was just a number trick. But an interesting and fun number trick nonetheless.

PS - Sloi, I'm sure many cheap calculators use BRUTE FORCE rather than algorithms

PPS - ktog, I'm majoring in Computer Science. I think that will change to MIS soon though. I don't dig programming that much oOo:
