25 mike mikes -

Well last week we got to fire the M242 Bushmaster chaingun on the LAVs. And the M240 Coax and M240 Pintle mount. Let me tell you something putting 20 round bursts doen range with the pintle mount is by far the most bad ass thing ive done. The damn gun was floating all over the place it was powerful. But i got to fire it on the ground on a bipod, it didnt kick much but i was tearing up some targets down range.
Now the 25 mm is a bad ass weapon. Sitting in the gunners seat looking through the thermal sights at old t-62s and t-72s and blowing them to hell with HEi-T rounds was awesome. The gun is so loud it shakes the fucking ground and if your standing behind the vehicle when its firing you know that pressure build up in your nose if you go down to deep in the water? Well you get the pressure build up in your nose from the gun firing, its an uncomfortable feeling. Simply an amazing weapon, i got pictures but i havent got them developed yet.

M240 on a tripod is absolute pwnage. You can put every round on the exact same target at 500m +. With the knobs for traverse and search... well as i said... Pwnage.

M240 = C6
Yeah, C6 is sweet. We started a fire on the range from the tracers once. I've only live fired it in th bipod position, but i've been training for the past three months with the tripod because we were supposed to be weapons det. when I go to Ft. Lewis next weekend, but I get to play enemy force instead for a few hundred infanteers. happy: That should be interesting.

no doubt eh?
you would expect it to be more like the C9 LMG (don't know what you guys call it. but you know what i'm talkig about) where you have a pretty big spray of rounds on the target, but its deadly accurate on the bipod as far as you can see well.

Well the SAW is accurate but the 240 is a beast, firing it on the bipod was awesome. the coax is cool to but you cant feel the kick cause it has no kick cause you use the joystick to fire it the same joystick you use to fire the maingun, just switch over from Main to Coax

Now that you've done some TC work, you should be able to realize two things:
1) The Bushmaster does not fire as rapidly as it does in DesertCombat on the Bradleys.
2) The 240 Coaxial is junk, and jams constantly. (at least ours did)
Otherwise, I'd rather drive that LAV than the Bradley. The only + I can really see is that the Bradley has treds.
