Default Ahriman's Prophecy - 06-16-2004, 01:50 PM

This is an excellent old style RPG game that is completely free for download. I haven't even gotten close to winning yet, but so far I have enjoyed it. If you enjoyed the old RPG games like Dragon Warrior (that one's probably too old for some of you to remember), or more recent ones like Final Fantasy, then you'll enjoy this. It is a suprisingly deep game, especially for a free game.

Dragon Warrior is amazing.

When you combine the creators of Dragon Warrior and the creators of final fantasy...you get chrono trigger.

You know, I've never played Chrono Trigger, but I've heard you mention it several times. I guess I'll go to cherryroms.com and get it.

On a side noe, I remember the first time I beat Dragon Warrior I was 7 years old. I think that game took me about 8 months to beat, because I couldn't get past those damn goldmen, and then at the end, fighting the dragon took forever for me to beat. But yeah, Dragon Warrior was awesome. I only owned the first one, so I've never taken the time to play the others.

Ktog is right. DW 4 is the best one in the series.

I think Square-Enix (enix is DW...Square is FF) is going to release DW 8 I believe soon.

3D idiots may hate it cuz DW has and always will be 2D.

Yeah i remember beating DW1 when i was like 8, it took me forever. Also DW4 was bad ass because it came with a map, enemy list, and item list.

Taloon owns you.

Yes they were good, but stray from the mainstream path of RPGs. Try a few games like Suikoden, Star Ocean, etc. You definatly won't be dissapointed.

Lunar Silver Star Story: Complete (PSOne) [One of the absolutely best RPG's ive ever played, no doubt about it.]
Secret of Mana (SNES) [This game has kept me awake for more hours than any game before. Extremely welldone game by Squaresoft.]
Saga Frontier 2 (PSOne) [Very different from the ordinary RPG's, since you get to follow a heap of characters through the same timeline. Really well done and the combatsystem is very entertaining.]

Ill see if i can come up with a bunch more.
