Default Valve decides a manual is not needed for HL2 - 11-04-2004, 02:48 PM

[quote:dae21]November 02, 2004 - VE reader Franziska heard a rumor that Half-Life 2 included no instructions manual and asked if we could confirm the situation with Valve. So, here's what Valve's Doug Lombardi had to say on the matter:

VE - Silly question, but there are some rumors floating around German HL 2 forums that Half-Life 2 won't ship with a manual of any sort.

Doug Lombardi - That's correct. There is a quick reference card included to guide folks through installation and set up. And Prima will be releasing the official strategy guide. [/quote:dae21]
Cheap bastards.

I guess we may get our CD's in those cheap shitty ass paper sleeves. Don't know about you guys, But I enjoy reading through manuals..get to see some of the controls and everything else before I get into a game..gg vavle eek:

Manuals in anything but RPGs are useless for anything other than stuff to read while you shit.

Just burn the steam files to a DVD. Then you don't have to redownload everytime if you reformat or whatever.

If you don't have a DVD writer then split the bigger files in ~700MB and burn them to CDs.
