Default coverage of the Popes death - 04-04-2005, 02:20 PM

am I the only one that isnt OK with this? Every news channel was just about having a "death countdown" it almost seems like the news people wanted him dead. Like the were covering a race or something. I am not a religious person and I find this wrong. I cant think of a single person that would have a bad thing to say about the Pope, he was a good man and his story is very impressive. I never knew much about him until recently. His childhood and life as a young man is impressive.

I find it wrong how celebs are now wearing cross pendents around their necklaces....wtf. Some of these people need to be shot. I saw some actress being interviewed and she was wearing what looked to be a rosery around her neck. That's NOT the use of rosery beads, I'm sorry.

I don't watch any MSM at all. It solves a lot of problems for me. This way I don't have to yell at my television.

I'm not very bothered by it at all. The guy, and his possition are of high regard... but they should have made the same kind of fuss for 'ol blues eyes.

There are several posts complaining about media coverage, and thier wrong-doings. I'm not out to say that we should not be upset... but the practice is quite in tune with modern society.

We all know that media groups are not federally funded. They, just like any business must pay the bills, and paying the bills is exactly what they are doing.
These groups get thier funding from advertiseing, which means the more people they have tuned in, the better the pay check. And we are all quite aware of what sells in todays society.

Leaving any sencable person with a lasting conclussion.

Judge the world, it's people and events from your own perspective. Do not blindly accept or belief the views of others.
The media groups is the best way to find out what is happening in the world... not the best way to determine your own truth/view about those said events.

Who really cares if they have special programing for the Jackson trial? They are just trying to pay the bills. I'm not interested, so I change the frinkin' chanel.

Damn I love America.

ROFL, Teeter Salad,

1. The additional comment was intended for Gary, hence the responce. He got the gag... what's your problem?

2. PM Inny and let him know I hurt your intraweb ego, I'm sure he will understand.

3. Flames, Disagreements, or conflicts of interest are likley very common in this section... and dare I say it, Im probably not the first to engage in a hot seat over here.

4. POS sig. Would you like me to change my sig to something that YOU would like better, or should I be allowed to pick for myself?

These points being made, this is your contrabution to the discussion?:
