Default D-Day - 06-06-2005, 02:29 PM

Seeing this is a military site.. well, didnt anyone remember that today's D-Day? June 6th...I thought as soon as I logged on for the first time today I'd see dozens of threads, but I guess we're still debating if those two large zits on Obi-Wan are the cause of Darth Sidious....

Not really much of a conversation starter, and obviously none of the vets are going to hear this, but I feel wrong not doing it, so..

THANK YOU!!!

I usually celebrate by replaying the Omaha beach level over again (CANNOT WAIT FOR COD 2) but this year, well, it's kind of a stupid tradition, and I've gotta get back to posting flyers on neighbors doorways, telling them theres another kid in line to mow their lawn (I love you Coleman!)

So it is.

Thanks for the reminder. I'd watch "Saving Private Ryan" tonight, if I didn't have all my DVDs packed.

Goddammit.

Holy smokes.

I remember years past on this board many thread about D day and rememberance day and such as well as sigs. I suppose we're all getting a little busier. I certainly am. I didn't even notice. Thats the sad thing. People are so busy these days, everyone will go on without even flinching. When I saw the title of this thread, I thought to myself "D-Day...why is he talking about D-day?" Strange.

Thanks for reminding me.

RIP to everyone who served and lost their lives.

We remember.

Rest in peace all the soldiers who lost their lives fighting for what they believed in on both sides.

RIP.

Fun facts of the day:
The Swedish Flags day is the 6th of June, the very same date as the D-Day landings.
