Adware? Spyware? WTFware? I need help! -

I have a strange program that seems to have inserted itself on my computer. on any given web page, seemingly random words are underlined, and are linked to a wealth of information about online dating, free pornography, gambling, and crappy job opportunities. When highlighted, a small text lights up, explaining this to me, then adding that the information is supplied to me not through the website I am currently viewing, but something called TopText/EARN. What is it, and how do I rid my computer of it, without a lengthy run of Norton Antivirus?

Go into add/remove programs and look for the following; opText, TopText ILookup, HotText, or ContextPro. Uninstall and reboot. Also, run Microsoft AntiSpyware and Spybot Search & Destroy.

i had the same problem two years ago, its a self installer named Ezula HotText (or TopText). I'm not sure if its changed the way its removed in the past two years, but I know for sure that the Ezula compnay that makes the spyware makes a new one purposely to make sure you can't delete (since I had it on my computer for a week despite uninstalling it everyday). If this indeed is the problem you have, go on google and search for how to remove it, there are several sites that talk about it. However, the version of the spyware I had was fairly new at the time (so no site had help on it), but what I was able to do go into Safe Mode and then go into both regedit (and delete the registry keys) and DOS (there is some key strand that you type that uninstalls any program but i forget what it is) in order to get rid of the self-installer.
