I'm a pretty good commander, I'm an evil C4 placer and a good squad leader, still not a great sniper as the rifle is a little unpredictable. Can you direct your anti tank missile at things or does it just go straight? As medic i sometimes miss the body when i'm in a hurry and the guy dies whilst its recharging, lol. I'm still learning new things all the time with it.
Overall I pick special ops the most as the rifle's scope and fire on auto is solid and the c4 is delish. I had a great few matches last night commanding a squad of 6 people who did what they were told and it was damn impressive, they covered each of us, healed/defribbed, mined bridges and ran at tanks with c4.
I kinda felt like a proud father biggrin:

Dunno really, usually pick anything from antitank to special ops. Im pretty good whoring the supercobra or transporting people in the blackhawk, decent in the tanks as well.

I mow down everything that gets in my way with support and my trusty PKM. I'm decent with medic too as long as it's not US. I'm horrible with the M16.

Everytime I've played commander I've won, but it gets boring and annyoing fast when you accidently TK with artillery and you get punished for it. I mostly play Assault class because it's fun owning things with the grenade launcher. A few nights ago I killed everyone in a loaded Blackhawk with one lucky grenade round, the funniest part was the Blackhawk didn't blow up.
Other than assault I may play Anti-Tank for a few minutes to blow up some camping tank or APC, but that class gets annyoing really quick when it takes 3 rounds to blow somthing up and you can barley defend yourself with the shitty guns they give that class. Medic is the other class I play if there arn't alot of medics on the team or in the squad (Usally becuause everyone is fucking Spec Ops). Still havn't gotten a Shock Paddle kill yet.

I think playing commander mode "properly" does get really boring. If you stay back at the spawn and just sit with the interface its a real snore fest. I rarely try to apply for it, id prefer to be out shooting at other people than sit dropping the occasional artillery barrage and supply drop.

I play as the sniper and i allways try to get commander. Its fun when you sit and snipe plus you get to use the artillery too.
If you play it smart and not just sit at the base with commander, it can be alot of fun.
anyone use the voice over IP? not alot of people use that eek:

Sniper any day. Although, I really like to play as a regular grunt aswell.
Almost never apply for commander, but Squadleader suits me fine (thats my position IRL aswell biggrin: ).

Sniper, with my unlocked M95.
I dont notice that big a difference between the M24 and the M95, but compared to the SVD, the M95 owns.

i usually go assault or anti-tank ..... i like the spec ops gun the most. To me it seems the guns are unpowered on US side , i dont know how many times i have blasted some fool and he ends up killing me cuss: ... i think this game kicks major ass.

With the current sniper system you'd probably have to be around 3 feet away to even have a chance of scoring the hit on a static pilot. oOo:

I wonder if the M2/NSVT penetrates the windows. Knowing DICE, probably not. Not like the M95 and M2 use the exact same ammo, after all. oOo:
If you're in a position to snipe the pilot then he's a total nub. However, total nubs don't know how to hover and if they did you would be better off just throwing c4 at him anyway.

C4 seems pretty cheap to me in this game as well. Seems everyone whores special ops just to have the c4 as a backup incase they run into a vehicle. In bf1942 at least the charges didn't stick and had to be under the vehicle (more or less), in this its a lot easier to take out vehicles cause it sticks to em.

On the subject of c4, can the enemies see it when its on the ground? Some of the kills ive got defending flags with c4 very obviously scattered around the flag area, some nub comes trundling up in a vehicle and stops right on top of it. eek:
Just seems to happen pretty constantly like they can't see it or are too dumb to notice.
