My in-laws flee Mobile - their loss is my gain! -
09-02-2005, 06:30 PM
My inlaws live in Mobile. They finally decided that it was silly to sit around the house with no AC when they have two daughters only a few hours away in Atlanta. They came to stay with my wife and me last night. Here comes the good part. All the steaks in their freezer were going to be ruined so they brought the steaks with them to Atlanta. We didn't have enough room for them in our freezer (I mean, doggone, they brought a whole dang meat market!) so we figured we had better cook them to make them last a few more days. Here are the picks of today's batch. We have about this many more to cook tomorrow!
Round One: I forgot to take a picture of it and by the time I went in the kitchen with the camera my wife and both of her parents had already cut themselves a piece of one of the steaks. New York Strips? I'm not sure.

Round Two: Pork sausages, huge pork chops, T-bones

Round Three: Venison sausage!

Never let it be said that nothing good came out of this storm. I'm stuffed!

LOL about half of it is steaks, there were two huge two inch thick pork chops, and a bunch of sausage. I still have several new york strips and some venison steaks.
We ate a bunch of it. It was four adults, and three teenage girls. But we still had to wrap some up for tomorrow.
