US Intervention Mod -
05-11-2006, 01:52 PM
http://usi.jarhedz.com/
Looks decent, Havent played bf2 in ages though
http://files.filefront.com/usi_01_clien ... einfo.html
I used the Torrent to get it last night:
http://toasters-bf1942.de/usi_0.1_client.rar.torrent
Includes:
US Army:
Vehicles
M1A1 Abrams
M2A2 Bradley
HMMWV (.50cal and variants)
HMMWV TOW
HMMWV Avenger
DPV
UH-60 Blackhawk
AH64A Apache
A-10 Thunderbolt II
F-16C Falcon
Weapons
CAR-15
SMAW
FIM-92A Stinger
M2HB MG
M240 MG
Iraq
Vehicles
T-72
BRDM-2
BRDM-2 Spandrel
BRDM-2 Gaskin
UAZ (.50 Cal and variant)
Mi-17 Hip
Mi-24D Hind
Su-25A Frogfoot
MiG-29 Fulcrum
Weapons
RPG-7
SA-7 Grail
Browning Hi-Powered
NSV(T) MG
From what I've seen, there are all new sounds and about 5-6 maps -- there is even a Battle of 73 Eastings, and a docks map.
Only bug so far is that the Hind lags.
The tanks have switchable ammo like POE1.
You can blow up a jeep or light apc with one tank round.

Hmm, you must've done something wrong. Most people are loving this mod.
I was playing it all last night and was having an absolute blast!!!
I didn't spot one bug, it was ultra stable, loved the weapons, vehicles, the lot.
Haven't had a chance to try everything out yet but it jus reminds me of Desert Combat, a great mod in my opinion already and its still only their 1st release!

what other possible thing am I supose to do other than double click the .exe?
the mod loaded, with the menu screen and shit... I tried to connect to servers, nothing showed up. I manually put the IP in, still nothing. So then I tried SP... by the time it was done loading, it crashed.

Its a pretty good mod, the apache and the hind are absoloutely kicking the shit out of most maps though. I never thought the laser guided missile would be a pilots secondary weapon, taking out tanks is so simple with it. Funny as hell to see tank drivers dive out everytime they get the lockon sound though. biggrin:
Also a really nice feel to the apache, really agile now compared to the supercobra in bf2, just wonder why they never included the radar dome on the model, almost seems to be the same apache from bf2:sf besides that.
Also like the fact tanks have 2 shells now and a zoom in function, long range tank battle are the shit on dc_eastings. rock:

Exactly, jus reminded me totally of DC. You see I didn't even know there was a zoom feature, hah
Buck, maybe try fiddling with the filters? and turning off Ranked. not sure....
Try lookin on the http://www.totalbf2.com forums if you still have trouble
edit: i think when trying SP it crashes for everyone as its MP only and not designed to work.

The iraqi jeep musical horn is fuckin hilarious and also last map i played the song on the american jeep was 'Don't Worry, Be Happy' which cracked me up whilst fighting
Its such a complete mod, theres so many great maps already, many types.
jus a shame i haven't found a sweet spot with my graphics jus yet
