Yup, there needs to be a price cap on gas, at 1.80 a gallon, because thats what its fucking worth, i remember payiong 1.36 a gallon 2-3 years ago, gas is about a dollar and some change over priced.

They can charge more at the pump because we all have this idea instilled in out minds that there is less oil to go around and more demand.

Personally I reject the idea that there isn't enough oil and see it as OPEC/oil companies justification for gouging customers.

Anyway, theres no real alternative. Other forms of energy are suppressed so the only viable option people have is the reliance on oil which means more moeny for the top dogs.

Majority of US oil does not come from the middle east. Canada and Venezuela are the major suppliers of Oil to the US. OPEC has a monopoly over world oil. they can set any price they want.

Hydrogen is highly impractical because it is a means of energy storage, not an energy source. To create a hydrogen you need a source. Solar power for example. But since solar energy is not nearly as concentrated as oil, theres no way to gather enough of the energy to produce the hydrogen. Thus you need another energy source.

You can't just pull hydrogen out and put it in a tank. It had to be made for lack of a better term. In order to make it you need an energy source, like oil.
