Star Wars meets Battlefield 1942.

Now it says PS2 and Xbox *spits* but importantly PC
BF1942 is about the only game I've been playing for a while so rather than a crappy unofficial buggy galactic mod for it i think this has the potential to be something quite special...if done right of course.

If they did do it correctly then Lucasarts will have my money in their pocket because I think it would kick buttacus.

"Think SOCOM's online-multiplayer experience, only with a wide variety of characters to choose from and a bunch of cool Star Wars vehicles to operate. You can play in the Galactic Civil War or the Clone Wars, meaning you can choose one of four armies to command (Rebels vs. Imperials or Republic vs. Separatists). You can't mix and match sides (e.g., no Republic vs. Empire), but battles can take place on any planet. As for the vehicles, Battlefront includes pretty much every major ride you've seen in a Star Wars flick. Yes, even AT-ATs. Yes, even X-wings. Hell, you can even mount a tauntaun. Better yet, certain vehicles carry multiple troops: One player drives as the others man guns."

hope it turns out good. Only some developers know how to make a star wars game...bioware and raven software and whoever did the dark forces games before jedi knight II.

I always wanted a game that pitted rebel forces against the empire. Another good idea would be to make it massively multiplayer.

except thats not really battling many people online. Thats more like just pick a class and live ur life. It should be more like WWII online.

Well, I gotta say the lasers look a hell of alot better than Galatic Conquests. Looks nice, I hope it turns out to be as good as it looks.

Looks good! Hopefully by then I'll have my new computer and i'll be out of training. Star Wars Galaxies is an alright game... but there is not much PvP in it. I'd rather have a game that is like Star Wars Battlefront where you actually CONTROL the character, unlike SWG.
