I don't know about you guys but I've never encountered a game like MOH:AA that hangs so often. I know I'm not the only one experiencing this problem as there are numerous posts on this site and others regarding this problem.
Why should us gamers after having paid good $$$ and instead of enjoying playing the game, we have to crack our heads by experimenting with different remedies to make the game run decently on our pcs?
I've even seen a thread where a poor fellow had to resort to taking out his SB live soundcard, what is this??? If you ask me, it is totally ridiculous for EA to come out with such a buggy game. Releasing a patch just for US versions just doesn't cut it.
I dont understand why so many people are having problems.....mine runs absolutly perfect... no problems what so ever.....then again i keep my machine running tip top. Maybe all you guys with troubles need to look elsewhere other than EA and the game.Like in your PC !!!!
If that's the case how do you define a high end system? A pc with Pentium 4, 2.2Ghz processor and Geforce 3 graphics card? Not everybody has the money or the need to invest in such hardwares you know. Then again maybe EA should slap on a label on the game box that says:
"WARNING! This game is only for HIGH END systems only, if you do not have one, forget about buying this game."
No, I completely disagree with you, BigDawg. One shouldn't need to be an advanced computer user to enjoy a game. While I haven't had any problems with MOHAA other than a less than desirable framerate, I'm bothered by the fact that this game is such a system hog. There are WAY TOO MANY people experiencing performance related problems with this software for anyone to dismiss these issues as user related.
I'm willing to bet that the same people having problems are able to run RTCW perfectly, with an excellent framerate. While I don't care much for the game, it does run a lot better and isn't very different in terms of complexity than MOHAA.
Why? It's apparent that 2015 aren't quite up to scratch. The guys at gray matter studios obviously are. Just think of how this game would have been improved if a group like Valve or Gearbox had a chance...
And don't get me started on the system requirements - what a joke! I guarentee 95% of the people on this board have more than the RECOMMENDED specs, yet still experience problems. If you knew this to be the case, would you RECOMMEND to your friend he run the software? Sticking that rubbish on the box does nothing but sell more copies - it doesn't help the consumer.
I'm impressed with the game, but VERY disappointed at the same time. From now on I, and many others, are going to be skepical about buying software from both 2015 and EA.
I am also very impressed with the game but I am disappointed with the performance. I don't have a HIGH end system but my system does not suck. I run RTCW at like 80 fps and in this game, my fps jumps all over the place. The game is still playable at least.
