Why is it that everytime someone asks a comp related question, people feel the need to point out Google??

Everyone knows a search engine will yield tons of sites about it but you ever thought that perhaps the person asking the question wants to save time and get directly to the point?

With that said, will someone answer the question? I too want to burn DVD's but don't have time to read the entire fuckin' web.

Nyck's Definitive Guide to "Burning" DVDs

1. Download and Install
DVDShrink: http://nyckwest.com/dvd/Shrink.exe
and
DVD Decrpyter: http://nyckwest.com/dvd/SetupDVDDecrypter_3.5.4.0.exe

Make sure you dont have tasks or other programs running in the background. they can disrupt the process and corrupt a disc.

2. Open DVDShrink and select open disc and choose your dvd drive with the dvd you want to copy in it.
http://nyckwest.com/dvd/dvd1.gif

3. It will begin to analyze the disc, it should be fairly quick, but may hang if the disc is dirty or scratched. Try to clean it off and try again. Make sure to turn off preview image because it wastes time.
http://nyckwest.com/dvd/dvd2.gif

4. When done you will get the main interface. here you can remove shitty stuff that you dont need, such as french language etc. Leave the compression at auto, trust me they dvd's look fine
http://nyckwest.com/dvd/dvd3.gif

5. Click the Back up button located up top and choose the target device as ISO IMAGE and Target image file as where on your HD you would like to save the image. Also check Launch DVD decrypter to burn dvd.
http://nyckwest.com/dvd/dvd4.gif

6. You will see it begin to Encode and then rip the Iso image to your harddrive. it will take a while so dont do anything on your computer as it may disrupt the encoding or ripping. Also make sure to click off enable preview image to save time.
http://nyckwest.com/dvd/dvd5.gif

7. Once that is finished DVD decrypter should pop up automatically. Remove the original disc and insert a blank DVD. It should look like this with the Source as your Iso image. Check what speed you want it to burn at and then make sure your DVD drive is the Destination. Click the Green Arrow and off you go to burn the image to your disc.
http://nyckwest.com/dvd/dvd6.gif

Once completed, test your dvd in your player to make sure it runs. Then go to where you saved that image and delete it off your HD. that sucker is 4.7 Gigs so its gonna take up space FAST. It will be too big to send to recycle bin, so it will delete automatically.

There you have it. Any questions feel free to ask me.

on the other hand ... why do most people instantly ask when they know damn well there are millions of pages that will inform them.

im not being an ass, its just i wonder to myself ... do these people actually even look first ?

save time and get directly to the point ... and by that im guessing you mean lazy.

i always look first and ask second ... and only after i have looked as much as i can ... some of you might need to try that.

plus, 9/10 pyro is an ass, so pointing him to google seemed appropriate.
