Default Which effects for my guitar - 08-04-2003, 08:32 PM

ok, i know it isnt a lot, but i got $254 today, and i was wondering what kind of effects i could get.....like, which would be the best, and the cheapest, i wont go any higher than 110+, so which would be the best....
btw. i love the kind of effects hendrix has on voodoo chile, but also i want that deep hard distortion....

Get a Dunlop Cry baby from hell wah wah pedal. Either that or get a bad ass delay pedal.

Didnt think you were gonna get any answers but smart ass remarks? One for positive

EDIT:Get the crybaby from hell if you like metal get a original if you like rock

Here's what I have and am quite happy with:

- DOD Supra Distortion
- DOD 5-band Graphic Equalizer
- Ibanez Stereo Chorus
- Ibanez Digital Delay

The Ibanez pedals are pretty old, so I don't even know if they make 'em anymore. The DOD pedals are workhorses...I'd highly recommend 'em.

get a marshall amp with Boss effects, the MT-2 Metal Zone is amazing for any metal sound. i also have a Boss multi-effect pedal which is nice to fuck around with, but i would never use to record or play a gig with... Boss is a very very reliable company. very good products.

Good advice, but he only has $254 to spend.

Agree on the Boss effects...they put out good products. I prefer DOD, for some reason though.

I still think you should get a crybaby from hell wah, if youre amp has good distortion you wont need a metal zone. Get a wah and a delay pedal.

Hendrix' usual set up was just a distortion pedal and a cry baby.

hook it up us guitar->distortion pedal->wah wah pedal->amp.

Thats all i need, the rest is all in the fingerwork cool:

you need a good distortion pedal. and a wah. go to a pawn shop or used music store. new you will get raped. look for a digitech gp12 or some thing used like 200$ and every thing you need in it.
