Looks like Q has been busy. It doesnt sound too farfetched, didnt the Mongols tie flaming wads of cotton to the tails of cats and release them so they would set fire to a city they were about to attack? Sneaky bastards.

No they would rape and completely annihilate entire cities which resisted them and made sure these stories spread so the next city they arrive will have their gates open to them.

I know that there was plan against Germany to release bats with time delay incendiary charges, the idea was that the bats would stow away in attics and stuff over night (as they do) and that's when the bomb would set fire to everything in the attic.

The plan was axed when a bat stowed away in an Air Corps general's car and set fire to it biggrin:
