Default Audio Programs - 03-17-2005, 09:08 PM

The other day some friends and I had a jam session and we recorded a song using a program on my friends computer, so tomorrow i'm gonna get it off his computer, and bring it to mine. The rythm guitar you can't hear, the drums almost drown out the vocals, I was wondering if there's a program thats easy to use where I could mess with the song, i.e. bringing up the vocals, and rythm guitar. thanks.

Use the EQ, wont be perfect, but can do enough if you know what youre doing. Get an idea of what the used range of the vocalist and the guitar was. The drums are usually on the lower end. the A below Middle C or A4 is ~440Hz if youre all in tune. If you really want to go into detail to get the best use out of it here is a chart or musical notes and their frequencies [url:4d415]http://www.phy.mtu.edu/~suits/notefreqs.html[/url:4d415]

rofl...
Though if you really want a sick computer program for this stuff, Go with Cakewalk Music Creator. I have '03 which works really well, but they have '04 and '05 out there that will do wonders if you have the right stuff

Record it all seperately and ON TIME if you can do that. Then use this.
