Fonda Fondue -

Jane Fonda was in town last night, for a book signing, down on "The Plaza".
I, of course, would never attend such a function, but I heard a disabled veteran bought her book to get in and when he got to the table to get the book signed he spit tobacco juice in her face. He then yelled a bunch of shit and the cops arrested him. Jane has refused to press charges so the police had to let him go.
Do you still think Jane is a traitor and needs to be buried to her head in a fire ant hill or have you mellowed over the years and just wish she would fade away? Discuss.

I've read about what she did to those american pilots in the pow camp. That is truly FUCKED UP. It pisses me off when dumb-ass fucks take their issues out on the wrong people, especially to the extent that she did. What the fuck was she thinking?
She should have just shat in some government fatcats pie with a message if she wanted to harm the cause.
Because, soldiers/sailors/airmen don't decide what war they're fighting.
I think she's a total bitch for that, and I'm not even American. I'd think even less of her if she was my own countryman.

I don't have a lot of knowledge on the subject, mainly because I wasn't born when she was doing her thang, and thus will decline from commenting.

Okay, so I did a little research and it turns out the POW story was a hoax, so....I'm glad to hear I guess.
....But apparently this is true:
[quote:fa88c]During a 1972 trip to North Vietnam, Jane Fonda propagandized on behalf of the North Vietnamese government, declared that American POWs were being treated humanely and condemned U.S. soldiers as "war criminals" and later denounced them as liars for claiming they had been tortured. [/quote:fa88c]
....So, I don't know what to think now.....But whatever, I guess she isn't THAT evil. She just made a series of stupid mistakes.

I read that when she was in North Vietnam, an American POW passed her a note telling her of the conditions they were living in. She promptly gave the note to the NVA guards, who beat the shit out of the POWs after she had left. May her pussy rot and her tits fall off before she dies of a flesh eating bacteria.

Hate her all you want she isn't the one who sent those soldiers off to war and kept them there. Granted she may have done some not so smart things, but it was thirty three years ago, if these vets were going to get pissed at anyone why not the government that sent them their in the first place? Sounds like a bad case of miss-guided anger.

Your dad get's killed in a car crash by a drunk driver. You shouldn't get mad at the drunk person. You should be mad at the company/person that invented the car and/or alcohol. oOo:

How is that flawed? If there was no alcohol that driver wouldn't have been drunk and if the car had been built better my hypothetical dad wouldn't have been killed.
There is a root cause to everything and in this case if the war in Vietnam hadn't been started those 56,000 soldiers wouldn't be dead, and Mrs. Fonda wouldn't have been cavorting with the NVA, and in return some disgruntled Veteran wouldn't have spat in her face.

Apparently that story is a total hoax. That's what my post was all about - Google it for yourself....

That is SO retarded. The general hate towards her doesn't have anything to do with WHY the war was fought. The vet isn't angry that he had to fight the war, he's angry that he and other vets like him had to take shit from her and stupid little bitches like her, while fighting the war.
People could have still agreed with the war, but hate the way she acted towards the troops that had no bearing over being in Vietnam in the first place. SHE is the one that demonstrated a "bad case of miss-guided anger."
She should have gone to Washington and started treating the government like shit, not the troops who have no control.

Tripper try to read what I said...I said that if it wern't for the war in the first place Fonda never would have been in Veitnam to piss them off. So it's foolish to hate someone who was a product of another persons creation.

[quote:9cbe7]The actress defended her trip to Vietnam in 1972, which won her the nickname "Hanoi Jane." But she said her visit to a North Vietnamese anti-aircraft gun site used to shoot down U.S. pilots was a "betrayal" of the U.S. military.[/quote:9cbe7]

-She was very bold with her anti war stance, I beleive John Lennon before he was deported was much more effective in his whole role in this.
Also the POW thing is a legend.
