I thought it was a good observation. I noticed this when I went and saw the movie this summer. I'm not one to be Politically Correct or anything, but I still found this just a little interesting.

I wonder how long it will take Jesse Jackson to want to boycott this movie.

The remake of that movie was bollocks imo, looked more like michael jackson inviting 5 kiddies over to neverland for the night. oOo:

And i gotta love how "charlie bucket" who lives in england finds a $10 bill and spends it in an english store, and when he gets the golden ticket is being offered $500 for it. Last i checked england didn't use dollars. oOo:

Interesting read, but it seems like he is reading more into it just to make a point. Expecting the movie to address whether Willy Wonka claims intellectual properties on the flavors found in Loompaland? Puhleese. I wonder if this guy will write a similar article to point out the negative portrayal of poor Southern whites when they do a remake of Deliverance?

BTW - i noticed that $10 bill thing too. Who writes this stuff? Have they ever been farther than ten miles from the famous Hollywood sign?
