NFL Draft -
04-29-2007, 08:51 AM
Your thoughts?
I was really pissed that Philly traded their 1st round 26th pick to Dallas. Ugh, that made me really angry. Atleast they picked up Tony Hunt later on to back up Westbrooke.
I was laughing sooooooooo hard when Quinn wasn't being picked. They had the camera on his face during the first 10 or so picks bc i guess they were expecting him to go then. It was hilarious to see him just sit there pick after pick. I always thought he was overrated and wasn't that good.

yeah i roffled when the browns didnt take him #1.
I think the giants made good choices so far taking a CB because they desperately needed one, and a WR and a DT i think?
Is Paul Poslusky (SP) from PSU still on the market? if the giants dont get him im gonna be pissed its the future Lawrence Taylor.

randy moss traded to the new england patriots
lions trade josh mckown and mike williams for a 4th round pick wtf?
Lions got a playmaker in calvin johnson
my buddy and I were cracking up that the espn dudes were cumming all over quinn, the fact that every pick they would make an excuse as to why that team should pick him and that they put him in a private room to wait because he was the last guy in the vip waiting room.

Yep Quinn was acting like such a pussy. You could clearly see him saying, "What?" a few times. Also his girlfriend looked like a tramp. He may turn out to be a decent QB, but he is definitely overrated. I never thought he was a top 5 caliber pick.
So far I'd say Atlanta is having the best draft. They have three guys who will probably start this season, and not because Atlanta sucks dick (they do), but the players they drafted are quality guys.
If New Orleans can lock down some steals on defense today in the draft, New Orleans may have the best draft this year. Meachem was a great pick, and their offense is fucking loaded now. They need to focus on LBs and DLs. They've got a very good safety in Roman Harper (was well on his way to contending for rookie of the year before he tore his ACL).
Detroit has a good chance to finally put together a consistent offense with Calvin Johnson. CJ is as fast, strong, and physical as Roy Williams, but he's 30 lbs bigger and can jump 3 feet higher. They will be the best WR duo in the league before too long.

the lions will suck the dick again and have a top 3 pick next year to build on.
2002 #3 pick Joey Harrington - run out of town, now a back up in ATL
2003 #2 pick Charles Rogers - Released, 2 broken collarbones and Weed Suspension - no current team
2004 #7 roy williams - best player on team will probably be pissed now that Johnson is there
2005 #10 Mike williams- traded with a qb for a 4th round pick never had a chance on the team cause he was fat and slow.(shawn merriman picked 2 spots later)

Why did the Raiders trade Randy Moss? If they knew all along they were going to trade him, then they should of taken Calvin Johnson. I thought they took JaMarcus (who I doubt will turn out to be good) because they were going to have Randy Moss still on the team, alongside Mike Williams and Jerry Porter. Now this makes no sense.

I don't think Poz is as awesome as some people think. I'm a PSU fan and I love Poz, but he's not going to be the second coming of LT.
And I don't think Zak DeOssie is the next best thing, sure, he looked good but he played Ivy League. We'll see.

ROFL give me a break. He's good, but he has nowhere near the level of strength that LT had. LT single-handedly changed the way defenses use linebackers, and changed the way offensive linemen had or arrange their blocking schemes. There' very, very few players in the history of the NFL that had as big of an impact on the game as LT. He's up there with Jerry Rice in terms of superstar status. Bo Jackson would have achieved the same level had he not gotten injured. If anybody has any shot at being the next LT, it's Sergio Kindle. He cuts people down the same way LT did.

ok so i exaggerated and you are going to hold me to it? I know what LT has done, and i marvel at it. I have been to every home game the giants have had the past 5 years.
LT is the only LT ever, fuck Tomlinson.

If the Eagles picked up Posluszny it would have been a NASTY duo with him and Trotter...shit, and if Javon Kearse was busting thing up on DE...nice defensive scheme if you ask me.
