I guess I'm more tolerant. I don't have a problem with people speaking other languages, as long as they don't give me shit for not speaking theirs. I'll try to mumble out some French in Quebec, but that's about it.
I had a french (from France) chick come into the Subway I was working at about 13 years ago (jezus...was it that long?) and I served her in French. She was very appreciative. It was pretty cool.
I actually don't see a problem with Geno's doing that. He's basically helping people help themselves. If I was over in another country (ie Germany in february) I try to adapt to their language and culture, so I expect the same in return with foreigners.
