I agree with your statement however, regardless of what the "general public" here believes about me being spoon fed this stuff by the media in my country, i gotta say this. Not only do i read the news spewed out by my country, i also read the news spewed out by others and they're all saying the same thing. So i guess i shouldn't listen to the news anymore. Hell, how do i know if the Holocoust even took place? Should i believe the history books or cast them aside due to the fact that they might discriminate against Germans?

bullshit..... you show me any media publisher who says that the majority of terrorism is caused by Islam. you say they are all saying this so just show me one.

a lot of this thread is trying to inform you that the media slants and dramatises details of any story to make it more interesting..... however your own xenophobia and prejudice is why this is failing to make any impression.
