Time travel can not happen, only the present exists. You can not change the past, because then the present wouldn't exist., You can't go into the future because there is no future, much like the saying "Yesterday, today was tomorrow, but it's still not tomorrow.
But for the sake of argument, lets say someone from the future traveled back in time to about 2000 years ago. Lets say that technology has advanced so far in the future that things can be altered by merely using your mind. So say this person wanted to change the world to a better place. What would be a better way than to say he was the son of God, use his technology to create "Miracles" and then be resurrected upon his death. I think that would make great book, or movie, hmm maybe they will use this idea for Terminator III.

I have those all the time. When it happens a few days later, I just sit there thinking about that. I want to tell someone, but I assume they would think I'm a few cards short of a full deck.

Here is my take on the God question: a house does not build itself.
Seeing as infinite regression is impossible, there has to be a first cause.
Notice also that questions of time do not apply to such a being; time is
simply the observable difference in measure of a system devised by a
human to record the number of units between two points of motion made
by an object or otherwise observable phenomena (let that sink in :-) ).
I never liked the religious explanations, but science has yet to satisfy me
with an answer that makes sense: a universe coming into existence without
the help of an intelligent creational force seems highly unlikely to me, more
so than the idea of a force having always been. It's too early for anyone to
tell with absolute certainty, so let's not start flaming each other over this.

Well said Solidus, as usual.
I wouldn't worry about anyone flaming each other on this, since 99% of the people on this forum won't figure out what you said for another 10 years.

well i dont beleive in the God creator, and scientists have yet to proove their theories in as much way as religous beleivers have yet to proove God exsists. I cant beleive in something I have never seen.
I dont lose any sleep over the issue of how we got here. I am however part of the above 1%.

In Star Wars, they travel at light speed, but when they turn it off, the time catches up with them...am I not mistaken?

I'm not sure about Star Wars, but in another movie(Wing something, probably Wing Commander) when they did a jump, everything on the carrier stop. After they finished, it was like only an instant happened.
