9 May 1945: Kamikaze strike killed one and wounded eight. Deck depressed 4.5 inches with a supporting beam distorted by 3 inches. Heavy fire inflicted in parked aircraft. Out of action for 25 minutes.*

I see most of the development time went into player models, ragdoll phsyics and researching authentic clothing such as grey helmets..... biggrin:

hah i knew you non flight simming noobs would jump all over the graphics. first of all, those are screens captured off of some dev's pc with all the graphics turned to low i promise you. second il2's graphics engine is amazing, those do it no justice goto il2sturmovik.com and look at either screenshots or the development screens on the mainpage. also there is a really awesome thread in the general discussion forum called high resolution screens that really display what the game is capable of. ive played pretty much all the ww2 combat flight sims and il2 is leaps and bounds ahead of them all. cfs3 was a disaster, cfs2 was fun as hell but doesnt even come close to il2. i am very much looking foward to both BoB and the pacific game rock:

freak: Yeah I know, jus playin wit ya!
I've played IL2 and loved it, the graphics were spectacular, so very realistic.
Flight sims have always been like that though, go down close to the ground and see how murky, blocky and downright not sexy things are........BUT thats why all of the development and effort goes into the planes and the flying experience, coz thats what the game is all about!
I'm not too keen on flight sims myself although I fly alot on BF1942, DC, etc.......is there an IL3 planned?
Jeez just now as I type I've just remembered that I used to try and play a flight sim on my mates Amiga, haha, was in a stealth bomber as I recall, I could never get it off the damn aircraft carrier biggrin:
....aaah good days on the ol' Amiga....... eek:
