My bro brought home this book as a summer reading assignment. I remember reading it like 3 years ago. It was one of the few books that I can say was a very good book. Anyone besides me read it?

what grade are you in? because there are a lot of books you read in school that are pretty good in the years to come.

Yea read a long time ago. Wasnt it about a perfect society and everything was in black and white or some shit and people were assigned their occupations. My favorite book is the Phantom Toll Booth though.

I read it in like grade 7, which would be 10 years ago. I think it was good, but I can't really remember.

omfg the giver

6th grade, all the gay projects we had to do for that book
i hate bullshit abstract writing too where you cant tell anything about the setting

best school-assigned book ive ever read- ender's game, Orson Scott Card (also one of my fav books ever)

worst school-assigned book- dead tie between To kill a mockingbird and fuckin Nectar in a Sieve
