first off we share the worlds longest undefended border... secondly, our economies are very much tied together, in terms of our dollar strength, and trade... tertiary, we share virtualy the same culture (obviously we have differences, but not as big as some may think), and lastly we share the same media, in terms of television, movies, music, etc... because of the difference in population, what goes on in Canada may be nothing to the US, but what goes in in the US effects us on many levels, both positive and negative...
