Short I don't care for the holiday either, because I don't respect a flag I respect people, however don't put it down. Humans rally behind symbols so let them enjoy the holiday.

people rallied behind other symbols as well...I am sure they had days to resemble this one as well. Nationalism is all such a day does to a nation.
We all know what nationalism leads to. Canada day = enough for me.

its alright, he is just one of those internet assholes thats a real big man behind his little keyboard. He just wants to rile us up. I have never seen a thread about the US that he hasnt bashed us all the way through. He is an idiot, he has no respect for others. It will come back to haunt him later in life. It's just a day where people hang up flags. I hung a 13 star flag out my window. I didn't look at myself in the mirror afterwards and say "YOURE A PATRIOT. AMERICA FUCKING KICKS ASS". There's no need to be so fucking cynical about such a harmless and well-natured holiday. rolleyes:

i'd fly my flag, but it's so old and worn. i really need to get another one, and the only other flag i have is a CSA flag, and that's not recomended. pretty soon, i am getting my granddad's flag from his coffin, but am never going to fly that.
