Animations in the original for reloads etc were pretty good, if its not broke don't fix it. At least this time round they look like soldiers and not munchkins waddling along with a dildo connected to a car battery up their asses.

Hunchbacks of Stalingrad. The game looks 100x better than Call of Duty, and judging by IWs track record it should be a pretty solid game. However like I said no ragdoll is a bit of a dissapointment, yes the animations are pretty good but they could have atleast approved upon the game by adding it in. Watching a ragdoll get blown up by a mortar is way more fun then watching a pre-scripteds and animated one blow up.

Yeah the game does look a shitload better, textures appear to be much higher res and way more defined, the engines one they built inhouse running on firect 3d. When the first screens came out everyone thought it was the doom 3 engine because of the shadows. biggrin:

Isn't it built off the Doom 3 engine, becuase like you said alot of the orginal screens I saw struck me as Doom 3-ish.

The chaotic nature of Pointe du Hoc really impressed me. It seemed like so much was going on, and that you really were just a small sample of a larger picture. It differs from COD Stallingrad, which just seemed way too scripted. Granted Pointe du Hoc may be extremely scripted as well, but it doesn't show as much as Stallingrad, where you could just sit and memorize the 3 pattern waves of soldiers aimlessly running at gunfire.
*EDIT* Looks like they ran that North Africa demo on a Pentium I or something, lol.

MAN, fucking lag towrds the courtyard battles towards the guns.... like 5 fps lol. I saw this bout a month ago, it looks promising, BUT
Where are:
Ragdolls ?
+ the sounds on the carbine and half the guns were the exact same, I am guessing a lot of shit in this demo was temporary etc. (Work still needed), beta testing starts in 4 weeks though... so...
