I say the 9mm, I've got a Ruger SP-101 but I prefer my Beretta 92FS-P for range shooting. Ammo is cheaper than the 40 and it's less taxing on the body to shoot.

Less taxing on the body oOo:

I stil llike the .40 S&W...or a .357 sig over a 9mm. But 9mm is acceptable.

Too bad they don't have the Nobel prize for being Kickass, because that's what Arkan would receive!

Arkan - the next Chuck Norris?

9mm.

9mm are useless unless you use good ammo. This used to be a Detroit but they have moved. http://www.corbon.com/ Some of the best ammo made. It will make your weapon more powerful

I use 9mm as soon as I can. Standard Army issue. biggrin:

Stackem: m/39B is the 9mm ammunition used today. It was delivered in the beginning of 1955. It has a extra ordinary thick jacket that prevents it from deforming easily, and that makes it better in penetrating hard targets. Some examples: It goes through 50 layers of kevlar or 20 cm of wood or 7 cm of brick. The jacket of the projectile also leads to a higher tear and wear on the weapon. Some figures point at up to 25% higher wear on the barrel when using m/39B ammunition compared against normal 9x19 ammunition.

Thats the stuff our army uses, and the Glock was about the only gun that could handle this ammo for a longer period of time without taking too much wear. i.e., the Police here uses the Sig Sauer P-228, and experiments were made with the m/39B. The resulsts was the tha barrel of the P-228 cracked after around 6000 shots, which the army saw as not acceptable for a army sidearm. Hence, they scrapped that idea and went for the Glock instead, since it had proven to be a lot tougher than most guns tested.

End of todays lesson.

lol, the thing is that the 39B ammo is made to shoot through engineblocks. I doubt most civilian 9mm ammo can do that.
