they are where the true comedy lies. British Comedy.
Faulty Towers, Allo Allo, and Are You Being Served are older shows, Blackadder ran for 4 series from late 80's to mid nintys plus a millenium one, Father Ted was 90s until i think it was 1997 when the lead actor Dermont morgan (i think thats his name) died.
You should seriously have a watch. Blackadder series 4 Blackadder goes forth is world war 1 trenches, but its best to watch all 4 series to follow the characters.
Allo Allo is a french cafe in world war 2 - constantly hiding "ze fallen madonna with ze big boobiez"

Other comedys such as Dads army which was black and white when it first started..... theyre really for the brits who would understand the humour.
red Dwarf is just classic!
I mean no offence to american tv but most of your comedies stink.
